Suzuki GSF1250 Seat Cowl

Just scored this through the good folks at Leesons (www.leesonsmotors.com).  Part number is  990D0-17HSC-YHL.

Easy fit and it replaces the rear seat (it's not a cover over the existing one).

    Dear Kewwig,

    Could you help me out? i bought this cowl 2nd hand for my bike but it't black.
    i want to repaint to suzuki blue but i need to know if the red cowl is glued onto the black plastic underneath.
    could you help me out?

    I never pulled it apart but it looks like it is glued onto the base piece. I suggest just masking the base and painting the cover with the base attached.
